Rossi Saenz

Flowy dresses and South Austin neighborhoods. Peas and carrots. Some things just go together. Rossi reached out to me for some headshots, which I was happy to do, but she had the perfect look for a vintage editorial that I’ve had in mind for a while now. I was thrilled that she was up for it. Here are some images from the shoot.

Julie, Tyler, and William

When I first started working as a photographer, the hardest part was actually not the lighting, camera, or anything technical - it was the idea of meeting someone for the first time and taking on the responsibility of making them feel and look comfortable, and delivering great images. So, to be invited into someone’s home to take photos is something I didn’t think I was capable of when I first started out. Now, it’s one of my favorite types of photography shoots. The images that come from an in-home session are the most authentic, personal, and memorable.

A little while ago I had the chance to visit Julie, Tyler, and William, who found me via client referral. We made a gingerbread house, played some games, and went for a walk. It was a wonderful morning, and here are some photos from the day.
